Company profile
As a spinoff company of ETH we are specialized on short-term weather forecasts in the time range 0-2 hours. We create risk forecasts and warnings of critical weather elements, such as rainfall, heavy rain, hail, and in winter snowfall and the danger of slippery ground due to snow or ice. For this, we use a fully-automated technique, called COTREC-RAINCAST, which has been developed at the ETH, and which has been licensed for exclusive economical use by our company.
COTREC/RAINCAST is in continuous operation for forecasts and warnings in Switzerland and neighboring regions since the foundation of our company in 1999. An increasing number of customers take use of the reliable and precise products and sevices which are distributed through various communication channels, such as internet, the system meteosoft, SMS, pager, fax, or email. We are capable of adapting our creative developments to the more and more fastidious requirements of our customers, mainly due to innovation and persistent contacts to universities, national weather services, and private weather companies.
